34th European Kendo Championships in Podgorica Montenegro June 19-21 2026; flagship continental kendo championship hosted by European Kendo Federation (EKF/FIK); held annually rotating between European host nations except World Kendo Championship years; 6 divisions: Mens Team, Womens Team, Junior Team, Mens Individual, Womens Individual, Junior Individual; Team matches involve 5-member teams (3 in Junior); EKF is the European zone governing body for Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo; major qualifier and prep event for the 20th World Kendo Championships in Tokyo May 27-30 2027; preceded by 33rd EKC 2025 Leiden Netherlands (Sweden won first European individual mens gold in 32 years - Markus Arfert with fighting spirit award).
